This past Mother's Day Weekend, Karen Clark dusted off her event planning hat and produced the Mother's Day themed event of her dreams. As an only child who recently lost both her Mother and Grandmother, Karen wanted to create an event that the mother figures in her life would have appreciated and one that she would personally love to attend.

The inaugural, sold-out event featured live jazz, incredible cuisine, poetry performances, photo opportunities, plus local art and it was all set against the background of the 5-star Umstead Hotel And Spa.

Attendees were surprised by unexpected lavish giveaways including various gift cards and a pair of diamond earrings from Raleigh Diamond Fine Jewelry.
